Plus 8 – The Remixes

There are a few things that a Hobo will never turn down. A good job, a hot meal, and the chance to remix for Plus 8 Records. Hobo has been offered a lot of things lately, but none of them gave him as much enthusiasm as Plus 8’s offer. The milestone one-hundredth release on Plus 8 would feature an enormous collection of music, with remixes celebrating the vast catalogue that has amassed over the years. As soon as Hobo was given the chance, he set to work. It was a short six days later that he handed in a remix that has since gone on to shake dance floors all over the northern hemisphere.

Plus8100 – The Remixes, released today, features an impressively large collection of equally impressive techno, handcrafted by some of the industry’s top artists. Only a label as revered as Plus 8 is as deserving of a collection of this magnitude. Head over to the Music page to get your serious techno fix.

Mike Mind Remix – Out Now!

When Hobo first heard the music he’d be remixing for Turbo Recordings, he began to act strangely. He took to odd hours, and twisted bleeps and blurps surrounded him throughout the nights until finally it all came to light at Fluid in Bergamo where he unleashed his massive remix. Several months, and many excited ID requests later, it’s mystery is no more, as Turbo delivers it in an impressive collection, Mike Mind’s Resonate EP.

Mike Mind set the stage for his debut EP after gracing us with only a single compilation track, Acid Machine whose acid sting only whetted our appetites for what is finally here. The EP consists of some deep dark originals as well as a few remixes from artists Kebacid, Giorgio Gigli, and of course Hobo.

Head over to the Music page to get ahold of it, and hear what all the fuss is about.

Hobo Tracks on Magda’s Fabric Mix

Hobos never cease to get around.  Evidence of this was found when we discovered that Hobo will be making his next appearance on Fabric 49, of the Fabric mix series, mixed by his friend and label-mate, Magda.

Since 2001, the London nightclub, Fabric, has been releasing bimonthly mixes done by the best DJs in the biz. With Magda joining the fold, you can rest assured that this offering will be the perfect combination of funk, and nocturnal weirdness, equally suited for both the dance floor, and your nearest haunted house.

Fabric 49 is out November 16, 2009 and features tracks by Hobo as well as his friends, Gaiser, Marc Houle, Click Box, and Heartthrob. Check out Fabric for the complete tracklist.
