We’ve finally figured out how to get ahold of Hobo and we’re passing it on to you. You can send anything from love-letters to hate-mail, booking requests, remix requests, and even friend requests!
Head over to the brand new Connect page and follow the links to popular social networking sites where Hobo can be found, or, just fill out a contact form and we’ll do the rest. It’s that easy.
We tried it ourselves and it worked. Hobo even said something about posting new Handouts very soon… although we could barely read his terrible typing. Hobos are sometimes given a bad rap… and they’re usually OK with this, so long as it isn’t a bum rap! They can’t stand that. But with that bad rap often comes the generalizing; that hobos are dirty, filthy, or even sleazy. We’re not ones to judge and like hobos, we really don’t bother ourselves with these labels because at the end of the day, themz just namez. One thing, however, is certain - Hobo’s latest collaboration is most definitely sleazy! And in the best of ways.
The quickly rising Sleaze Records recently tapped Hobo to remix one of their young stars, Psyk, who recently gained widespread attention for his inclusion on Richie Hawtin’s hugely praised “Sounds From Can Elles” mix. Psyk will release his Quimic EP which features remixes from Mike Wall, Re:Axis, and of course Hobo, on Sleaze Records, June 23rd, 2009. This release is sure to be as hot as the June air.

On The Road

Hobos are probably best known for their wandering ways; traveling from place to place, performing the odd job where they can. As these short winter days begin to grow, so too does the urge to head out on the road once again. We knew that Hobo was getting ready to head out when we found some fresh hobo symbols carved into an old bridge. We will attempt to report any info we find on where Hobo will be headed whenever we find evidence he leaves behind.
So far we’ve found a couple destinations where Hobo will be headed. Check out the newly added Live section to see where you can spot Hobo!
Hobo Remixes

Hobos are always willing to lend someone a hand because they never know when they’ll need a hand themselves. That is why Hobo was ready and willing to contribute a remix to Snork Enterprises when they asked. It wasn’t until Hobo heard the incredibly stripped down, smooth flowing techno goodness of Mark Hawkins‘ ### guise that he knew he couldn’t submit just one. As the long days of summer waned, Hobo toiled in the night and came up with two remixes sure to make any party bounce.
Hobo’s remixes of ###’s 03 and 04 are perfectly complimentary to the quirky minimal that ### does so well. Make sure to check out Mark Hawkins and his extensive back catalogue as well as ###, his new project for perfectly minimized techno.
###’s EP01 featuring a Hobo remix is out February 27 and EP01 REMIXES featuring Hobo and Spandex remixes is out March 6 on Snork Enterprises.

The Journey Is Complete

Like on all journeys from one point to another, patience is rewarded with the eventual arrival at your destination. True to form, “From A to B” had yet to arrive in it’s entirety… But at last your wait is over. Today we’re happy to announce that the rest of Hobo’s debut EP has pulled into the station!
Seven digital tracks are reunited with their once physical only brethren and are ready for many nights out on the town!

Hobo Sightings!

There are two things that hobos avoid like the plague: angry brakemen, and winter! Interestingly, hobos are quite resilient when it comes to the plague itself. The year is wrapping up, however, and winter is upon us, so any Hobo sighting is a rare one this time of year, but today we bring you two!
It seems that sometime recently Hobo wandered out from his usual hiding places. He’s been spotted in a connected video over at Minus where he appears to be in a box talking a bit about his first EP “From A to B,” among some other things. Check it out, and while you’re there, subscribe to the Minus podcast so you can stay connected and up to date with all things Minus!
Hobo has also been seen over at Ibiza Voice where he has charted the ten best tracks that he stumbled upon over the course of 2008. Check those tracks out and give them a listen the next time you’re jaunting through the dark.
